United States Numbered Highways
Following up on my previous post, I went through my archives and found this article from the April 1927 issue of
American Highways, the quarterly publication of the American Association of State Highway Officials (AASHO). This article describes all of the original U.S. Highways as designated in January 1927, with route numbers, total mileage, and a list of some of the municipalities through which the routes passed.
